Congressman Juan Ciscomani joined a roundtable in Oro Valley on April 10 with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce to discuss tax provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act and their impact on small businesses. The event brought together more than a dozen local leaders who shared how the bill’s tax benefits have affected them.
The discussion focused on how tax relief measures can support working families and small businesses in Arizona. “This conversation was an important reminder that tax relief is not just policy — it is real relief for working families and small businesses here in Arizona,” said Ciscomani. “When families get to keep more of what they earn, and when companies have more certainty through provisions like research and development tax relief, our local economy is stronger. The Working Families Tax Cuts Act is helping support innovation, job creation, and long-term growth in communities like ours. That is exactly the kind of commonsense support we should be focused on delivering. I’m grateful to the local leaders who came together for this discussion, and especially to the Oro Valley and U.S. Chambers of Commerce for helping lead such an important conversation.”
Oro Valley Chamber President and CEO Kristen Sharp said, “Tax and regulatory updates can be complex for anyone to navigate, especially small businesses that are already deep in the day-to-day of running their operations. We appreciate Congressman Ciscomani and his team taking the time to help provide clarity and answer questions directly from our business community.” Participants included representatives from various sectors such as finance, painting services, fire safety, waste management, hospitality, automotive services, restaurants, nonprofits, golf courses, credit unions, labels manufacturing companies.
During the roundtable Ciscomani highlighted his vote in favor of the Working Families Tax Cuts Act last May due to its benefits for small businesses including lower taxes expanded investment incentives supporting workforce stability—important factors as Arizona’s construction manufacturing service industries continue growing.
