Safford High School had the highest enrollment among Graham County schools, welcoming 827 students during the 2024-25 academic year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2024-25 school year, 51.9% were boys, and 48.1% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Hispanic, accounting for 57.1% of Safford High School’s total enrollment.

Among the 24 schools in Graham County, Ruth Powell Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 563 students, while Thatcher Elementary School welcomed 548 students and ranked third in the 2024-25 school year.

Safford High School is part of Safford Unified District, which roughly covers schools within Graham County and has a main office in Safford.

In the previous school year, Safford High School also had the highest number of students among Graham County schools.
