Congressman Juan Ciscomani, who represents Arizona’s 6th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on March 25 and 26, 2026, to address ongoing concerns regarding Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employee pay and to honor recipients of the Medal of Honor.
On March 25, Ciscomani posted: “For 40 days, DHS employees have been caught in the middle of Democrats’ political games. The pain being felt across the country must be stopped. I stood with my @HouseGOP colleagues to urge support for my Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act to ensure these hardworking Americans”. Later that day, he acknowledged National Medal of Honor Day by writing: “On #NationalMedalOfHonorDay, we honor the more than 3,500 Americans who have received our nation’s highest military distinction. These heroes displayed extraordinary courage in the face of danger, putting faithful service before themselves. We owe them and their families a debt”.
The following day, Ciscomani thanked House Speaker Mike Johnson for recognizing his proposed legislation: “Thank you, @SpeakerJohnson, for recognizing my Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act. Arizonans and every American deserve to know where their representatives stand on this critical vote. Employees must be paid, and our commitment to those who keep our nation safe must remain”.
Juan Ciscomani began representing Arizona’s 6th District in Congress in 2023 after replacing Ann Kirkpatrick. He has won consecutive elections against Kirsten Engel, securing victory both in 2022 and again in 2024. Born in Hermosillo, Mexico in 1982, Ciscomani resides in Tucson and is a graduate of the University of Arizona.
