Congressman Juan Ciscomani of Arizona’s 6th District spent the past week participating in a series of events honoring veterans and engaging with local communities. The week began with his attendance at the Rockin’ 4 Heroes Event in Oro Valley, which recognizes first responders, active-duty military personnel, veterans, and Gold Star families.

On Monday, Ciscomani joined the Marana Flag Placement Ceremony, placing flags on headstones to prepare for Veterans Day. He also visited Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson to present a Congressional Record for the late Kelly Pierce during the Salpointe Heroes Assembly.

Later that day, he met with Arizona employers at a roundtable to discuss the Working Families Tax Cut Act and its potential impact on businesses.

Veterans Day saw Ciscomani presenting remarks at the 30th Annual Sierra Vista / Fort Huachuca Veterans Day Ceremony, where he honored service members and their families. On Thursday, he hosted the Veteran Servant Leader Award Event for the third time, presenting awards to 32 individuals from all five counties in his district who continue serving their communities after military service.

“One of my top priorities, as your Congressman and a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, is taking care of all of the veterans who call Arizona’s sixth congressional district their home,” Congressman Ciscomani said. “I’m proud of all of the work we do to support our veterans, honor them, and make sure they have the care and access they deserve. Attending these events is incredibly special to me to honor the ones who have dedicated their lives on their service to our country.”

Ciscomani was elected to Congress representing Arizona’s 6th district after defeating Kirsten Engel in both 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2022, he won by a narrow margin with just over half of the vote; in 2024 he again secured victory against Engel. He succeeded Ann Kirkpatrick as representative beginning in 2023.
