The Arizona Association for Economic Development named House Speaker Pro Tempore T.J. Shope Economic Development Champion recently.
“I am honored to be named the House’s 2019 Economic Development Champion by the Arizona Association for Economic Development,” Shope said. “Our work together continues to advance Arizona’s name nationally in economic development and attracts new and innovative companies to our great state to do business.”
Shope serves as the Speaker Pro Tempore of the House alongside Speaker Rusty Bowers in the 54th Arizona Legislature. He will also serve as the Chairman of the House Committee on Ethics and the House Committee on Administration.
He has served on the House Committee on Agriculture & Water, House Committee on Energy, Environment & Natural Resources and the House Committee on Commerce, according to his profile on azleg.gov.
