The City of Globe has issued a notice of intent to raise the rates for water and garbage.
The city will hold a public hearing to address the intent to raise garbage, recycling, water and wastewater rates and fees, according to two press releases from the City of Globe. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. at Globe City Hall.
"A written document showing the Rate Adjustment based on the Water-Sewer-Trash Index for trash collection services which supports the proposed increase in garbage and recycle rates and fees is available to the public for review and inspection at the office of the Globe City Clerk located at Globe City Hall, 150 N. Pine St., Globe, Arizona, 85501," the city said in the garbage and recycle press release.
During the public hearing, members of the public can comment and discuss the increased rates for garbage and recycling.
"The public hearing will be scheduled on the agenda for the purpose of presenting, discussing and to obtain any comments on the proposed water and wastewater rate increases. Written and verbal comments are welcome at the public meeting. Action on the item will occur after the public hearing, but not sooner than 60 days following the Effective Notice Date of Aug. 12," the city said in the water and wastewater press release.
