Cochise College issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
The Cochise College soccer team traveled to face NJCAA D2 #7 Pima for their last away regular-season game.
The Apaches started a game by keeping the majority of the possession. Even though the Apaches were a better team up to this point, the Aztecs managed to score first in the 23rd minute. The first half ended 1-0 for Pima.
The second half started with a couple of chances for the Apaches. However, Pima’s goalkeeper made great saves to keep her team in the lead. The Aztecs took over the game in the 65th minute when they struck for the second time. The Apaches could not find a back of the net and get scored on one more time in the 80th minute. The final score of the game was 3-0 for Pima.
The loss puts the Apaches’ record to 7-6-2 and 3-4-2 in the ACCAC conference.
Cochise Soccer will host Paradise Valley for their last game of the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. The game will be played at the Douglas Campus, and all the Sophomores will be recognized before the kickoff.
