After many years, we have arrived at a place where we can move forward with the port of entry project. In November 2021, Congress passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law which included funding for the Douglas Two-Port Solution. The secured funding will allocate $260 million toward the construction of a new commercial port of entry, four miles west of city limits, and $184 million to renovate and expand the existing Raul Castro Port of Entry.
