On Thursday, November 3, 2022 at approximately 6:12 pm, members of the Operation Safe Streets task force conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe on South Cleveland and Highway 92 in Bisbee.
The driver of the vehicle, 28 year old US citizen Christopher Zapien of Mesa, was found to be transporting three undocumented immigrants.
Zapien was booked into the Cochise County jail on Human Smuggling felony charges and the migrants were turned over to US Border Patrol for processing.
