City Hall update; There is no longer a hole in the ground, the dirt is now up to its finished grade. During the process it was discovered that there was nothing under the steps, so that area was filled in with a slurry material. Although it is likely that there has been a void space under the steps for over 100 years, we decided to fill it in to remove any doubt of a failure in the future. There will still be some activity in the coming days to ensure proper compaction. Hopefully soon we can go out for bids for more construction work.
