The National Weather Service is advising of high winds and mountain snow this evening through tomorrow morning at dawn. Snow levels will be around 6,000 ft this evening and will fall quickly late tonight behind the cold front dropping to near 2,500 ft by dawn Wednesday. This is especially true for much of Cochise county where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for up to 2 inches of snow. Difficult driving is possible due to slippery roads and light snow accumulation, especially in the mountain passes, in the early hours as our employees head to work tomorrow.
For this reason, County staff located in Bisbee will have a delayed start to 9:00 am. This includes Cochise County Superior Court located in Bisbee, the Administration Building, Bisbee Justice Court, and Melody Lane. We will provide additional information if a change is made for a later start. Messages will be sent through alert sense and email.
