80% of Gila County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 53,211 citizens living in Gila County in 2021, 80% were old enough to vote, equating to 42,588 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 21,123 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 21,465 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Gila County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.2%.
