Gila County ranked eighth in Arizona for resident earnings in 2018

Gila County ranked eighth among counties in Arizona by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Gila County residents was $22,493 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 21,708 households with a population of 53,400.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Greenlee County with $30,807 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,314 more than Gila County. It had 3,225 households with a population of 9,504.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Apache County with $19,007 per year after adjusting for inflation – $3,486 less than Gila County. It had 20,395 households with a population of 71,522.
