Gila County issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.
Gila County Public Health disease investigators have confirmed 130 cases during the week from Oct. 2 through Oct. 8, which represents a slight decline in the "percent positivity" of 7.7 percent, the same percentage reported each of the past two weeks.
Town-by-town totals are at right, with ages specified in the graphic below. County, state and federal public health professionals continue to report the majority of positive new cases are with unvaccinated people - and Gila County Public Health offers free vaccinations and covid-19 tests, staff conduct in-house serology, PCR, and antigen tests. Results are available in 10-15 minutes for each test.

throughout our county, encouraging all residents to get vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine has been approved
for 12 years of age and older. Therefore, any resident over the age of 12 can make an local health department
to get a vaccine - please note that ages 12-17 require a parent or guardian appointment with

Oct. 12, Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. the Moderna vaccine will be available free at the WIC office at 5515 South Apache, Suite 700. To schedule an appointment call 928-910-4009, option 1.
Oct. 22, Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the Pfizer vaccine will be available free at the Payson Teen Center at 112 West Cedar Lane,. To schedule an appointment call 928-910-4009. The Pfizer vaccine is available to anyone over age 12, and please note that ages 12-17 require a parent or guardian to be present and chaperone the recipient to the clinic
