SVPolice Department's back parking lot is being upgraded with solar panel-covered parking as a part of the City’s energy initiative with Schneider Electric.
These panels will serve double duty by providing clean solar energy to offset some of the City's energy costs and offering shaded parking for patrol vehicles and equipment. This prolongs the life of graphics on vehicles such as our DUI taskforce van and Mobile Command Unit. Solar panels will also be placed at City Hall, the Library, and the Cove Aquatic Center.
