7 professional licenses issued in three cities found within Santa Cruz County in Q1 2022

There were seven professional licenses issued in cities across Santa Cruz County in the first quarter of 2022, according to the State of Arizona.

This was an increase over the quarter before, when no licenses were issued.

Nogales had the most professional licenses issued among cities within Santa Cruz County.

More than 99 percent of Arizona's businesses are considered small with more than 40 percent of Arizona employees working for a small business, according to the U.S. Small Business Administration.

A study by Civic Economics found $100 spent at a locally-owned business, puts $47 back into the local economy while the total is just $13 for non-local businesses.
