There were 300 Latino students enrolled in Tombstone Unified District schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 300 Latino students enrolled in Tombstone Unified District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.6% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Tombstone Unified District welcomed 867 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Latino students comprised 34.6% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Tombstone Unified District roughly covers schools within Cochise County and has a main office in Tombstone.

Among the three schools in Tombstone Unified District, Tombstone High School recorded the highest enrollment of Latino students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 150 students.

WalletHub claimed Arizona’s school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors’ credentials.
