There were 259 African American students enrolled in Sierra Vista Unified District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8.5% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Sierra Vista Unified District welcomed 4,742 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 5.5% of the student body to be the fourth most represented ethnicity in the district.

Sierra Vista Unified District roughly covers schools within Cochise County and has a main office in Sierra Vista.

Among the nine schools in Sierra Vista Unified District, Buena High School recorded the highest enrollment of African American students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 106 students.
