There were 43 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Safford Unified District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.3% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Safford Unified District welcomed 2,943 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 1.5% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Safford Unified District roughly covers schools within Graham County and has a main office in Safford.

Among the seven schools in Safford Unified District, Safford High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian or Alaskan Native students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 12 students.
