Eloy Fire District issued the following announcement on July 26.
An early morning stranded motorist call turned out to be an extremely hazardous situation as the vehicle died teetering over a culvert and a fast-moving canal.
Eloy Fire immediately requested assistance from the Casa Grande Fire Department Technical Rescue Team, who responded quickly and formulated a rescue plan. With EFD supporting the operation, the CGFD crew made an amazing rescue. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed by the event. We want to send a very special thank you to the Casa Grande Fire Department for being there when we needed you! Excellent work!!!
