Douglas Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
The Douglas Police Department hosted a Battle of the Badges Blood drive on 9/15/2021. Thank you everyone who participated! Together we collected 23 pints of blood! Each pint can save up to three lives!
The winning agency with most donations was the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office! 2021 is the second year they won! Great job! Thank you Carol Capas, Lt. Monge and Lt. Heisner for recruiting within your agency. We had one deputy and 12 detention officers participate.
Douglas Police Department came in second place with donations and won the popular vote.
Arizona Department of Transportation came in third place.
Once again thank you to everyone who participated. Thank you to the American Red Cross you guys rock!
