City of Sierra Vista issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.
The Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force made three DUI arrests during a saturation detail conducted in the Bisbee area on Saturday, October 2, due to a large concert held at Warren Ballpark.
The detail was performed by the Sierra Vista Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, and Bisbee Police Department. The detail resulted in the following: 61 traffic stops or contacts, four warnings or repair orders, 13 miscellaneous civil citations, three distracted driving citations for use of a cell phone, two seatbelt citations, and three misdemeanor DUI arrests.
The blood alcohol content on one of the alcohol-related DUI arrests was 0.108. The second alcohol-related DUI arrest, along with a drug-related DUI arrest, required blood draws.
With the continuous support from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Southeastern Arizona DUI Task Force reminds drivers that if you choose to drive hammered, you will get nailed. Get a designated driver, not a DUI!
