City of Sierra Vista issued the following announcement on Oct. 20.
The Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, and will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 30.
The shelter is typically open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. The shift in schedule next week is required due to limited staffing availability on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Dogs are also still available for a reduced adoption fee of $50, instead of $75, while cat adoptions remain $50 as usual. The adoption fee includes sterilization, the first set of vaccinations, a complete physical exam, a City dog license, and a microchip implant at no additional charge.
