Explosives Report Results in Fireworks Identified

Ppl

Cochise County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Mar. 5.

On Thursday March 3, 2022 the Sheriff's Office Explosive Ordinance Division Sergeant responded to a residence off of Naco Highway in Bisbee for a report of possible found dynamite.

The Sergeant located a bag with six items taped together which appeared to be dynamite, however after inspecting the items it was determined that they were large sticks of fireworks.

Due to poor quality control of the items which were leaking

powder and the use of photo flash powder, extended transportation of the items was deemed hazardous, so the items were moved to the Bisbee PD range for immediate

disposal.

If you see any suspicious items in or near your home, please call your local law enforcement agency and do not touch or try to move them.
