Beginning June 1, 2022, through August 23, 2022, Cochise Health and Social Services’ Clinic in Benson will implement new, extended hours to provide more opportunities for community members to visit their local health clinic and receive health services such as immunizations, STD testing, and more.
In an effort to provide more equitable health services to the Benson community, the county health clinic will be open for appointments on the second and fourth Tuesday, and the third Saturday of each month. On Tuesdays, the Benson clinic will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the last appointment scheduled by 6:45 p.m. On Saturdays, the clinic will open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the last appointment scheduled by 1:45 p.m.
“As a working parent, I think about how difficult it is to schedule appointments for my kids during the week without missing work,” says Public Health Nurse Tomanie Allen. “With these extended hours we are making our clinic services more accessible to better serve the population that needs us the most.”
