The Douglas Parks and Recreation Department and the Douglas Public Library have announced their summer schedule for 2022. A wide variety of summer camp activities are available for kids this year.
Recreation- Registration for the Kids Summer Camp began on May 9th. The camp is open to children ages 5 to 12 and will be hosted at Ray Borane Middle School from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. DUSD will provide all kids with breakfast and lunch. There are a limited number of spaces available and the program costs $20.00 per week or $40.00 per month. Separated into age-specific groupings). Included are structured events, presentations, and outdoor games/activities, as well as dress-up days, water days, field trips, and arts and crafts. Our educated staff is certified in CPR and first aid, has received training in child abuse and sexual harassment, and adheres to the Rule of Two (always 2 staff in the presence of 1 child).

Library- Register at the library to get your activity bag with prizes and a book! At the Douglas Public Library's Summer Reading Program, dive into an ocean of possibilities. Each week, the library will host STEAM activities, movies, and Story Time. The library opened registration on May 23. Register by calling (520) 417-7356 or stopping by the Douglas Public Library. The ages of participants in the summer reading program range from birth to 17 years old. Admission is Free.
